We had our regular Winjammer breakfast after Mass. Don't want to miss a meal.
We did get our passports back this morning to be ready for Israel. They collected them before Oman. It is required because they don't want us there with our passports with the potential to leave the country. Without passports, they consider us invisible. Interesting. May I add, we were first in line. Sue is expert in planning and arranging and convincing the powers that be. We always had the best seats, the royal treatment for my knee disabilities whether on board or heading out for excursions. Thank you, Sue.
Lunch in the Solarium then to another lecture with Jeff Davidson from Breathing Space in Raleigh, NC.

Preserving Family History-tomorrow's lecture.
Tonight at dinner, the head waiter brought over a group of ladies to dine with us, six ladies from Brazil, five sisters and one friend. Delightful smiles greeted us. Only one problem, Portugese was their language. Here we were again, with non-English speaking table mates. Sue tried a few Spanish words that one sister understood but again very limited communication. It was amazing what we could convey to each other with facial expressions and gestures. (Picture from another night.)
Sue fixed a chart diagram for everyone to fill in their names.

In all our years of cruising, we have never been challenged with table mates who didn't speak our language. Sometimes you strain to understand the workers. This ship had more foreign speaking peoples traveling. Made you realize how limited you are speaking one language. We are spoiled because so many know English in addition to their own languages.
Tonight's theater presentation was Brooks Aehron, celebrated entertainer and concert pianist. He was a delight, so energetic. Our entertainment this cruise has been exceptional. Before our show, we listened again to the Beatles Celebration in the Centrum. (Good but acoustics better in theater.)
Stayed up a bit later tonight. Caught the Love and Marriage Show. Funny but wouldn't be contestants even if we were amongst the longest married couples.

Postscript after cruise-
Received this email from Flora. I did not write but think Sue wrote to the ladies when first returned home. How nice for them to invite us to the Olympics in Brazil and to stay in their homes:
