Hard ro believe, hard to believe, our 16 day Dubai to Venice plus pre-cruise stay in Dubai is almost over. April 1 to April 20, 2016 seemed a very long time span. Now, almost done.
Up early as usual to enjoy our second-to-last day at sea. Regular start at the Omelet Station in the Winjammer. I am going to miss that omelet making man. Lunch at Park Cafe with small sandwiches on pistolette-type buns and soup of the day (always two choices) plus their wonderful cookies with oconut being our favorite.
Highlight for Sue and me was the presentation of all the countries of the ship's crew. This has been a voyage of many nations for us particularly with our table mates from GERMANY, CANADA but Portugese and BRAZIL. So many travelers are from different parts of the world. Fun watching the crew members celebrate their countries with flags. The audience from many decks added cheers, us, too! It was a special time because these crew members who worked together will now disperse to other ships since this is the farewell voyage for Splendor of the Seas being turned over to an English company in Venice. Very moving presentation with so many in tears celebrating the history and camaraderie on this ship. We all celebrated being together and getting along and wishing the world could, too.

Here we are all dressed up for our final formal night of the cruise. In the mornings when we read our Compass we moan when we see it's a formal night, but it is nice to get dressed up from time to time.
and almost our final night with our lovely ladies from Brazil who came bearing gifts from Santorini, how sweet .... (These pictures are from another happy evening with these ladies. We will always remember our ladies from Brazil and how we communicated with few words of Portugese or English but with lots of heart.💞
Tonight's showtime was one of our favorites, The Emperors of Soul.
We stayed up for Splendour of the Seas Farewell to Remember Reception.
Ray and Owen went to bed, but Sue and I headed down to the main deck of the Centrum for champagne (almost missed our glass).
We were disappointed they never cut the celebration cake! We enjoyed the party though. 👯
Tired after a full day, we headed to bed and joined our sleepy head husbands. Tomorrow is our final day.
