Last day on ship and hating to reach the end. Omelets as usual in the Winjammer. Saying it again, will miss my morning omelet and having someone make it for me. We do have to pack our suitcases and have them outside our cabins after dinner. Shouldn't take long with not worrying about wrinkles going home so putting it off until tonight.
This has been one of our best cruises. Will treat today like any other day and just forget it is our last day. Will skip the Destination Lecture about Venice since we are going straight to the airport when we arrive in Italy. Kind of wish we were staying a day or so now.
Ate in the Park Cafe for lunch and spent time in the Solarium in deck chairs by the windows looking out at the sea. Will miss that gazing at the sea. We did try lunch in the main dining room one day but never went back. The food was good, but the service seemed slow. Like the casual places best for breakfast and lunch.
Picked up some coconut cookies and headed to the last Enrichment Lecture by Jeffrey Davidson, Optimal Use of Your Time. He's a time management man and has stayed the course. When I got there, the class was Dial Down the Complexity. Well, that takes optimal use of your time so much the same. Questioning whether this was optimal use of time.....today or any day.
Tips:
1. Pay attention to priorities. If you are spread too thin, you won't accomplish. Set priorities, not many, just what fits on a business card size card. Remember them!
2. DO ONE THING AT A TIME. (fastest and easiest) No MULTI-TASKING, worse results with multi.
Singularity.
3. Use a timer. You create a bargain with yourself. Set for 20 minutes. Reset if more time needed.
4. Alternate between hard and easy tasks.
5. Manage the before hand. You will enjoy what you do better. Thank you notes.
6. Condition your environment. Position needed items, e.g.
7. Take strategic pauses. You will be more productive. (Magical hour at the Acropolis)
8. Find trail blazers to do your work.
9. Acknowledge completions.
10. Live in daylight compartments. Osler.
Don't copy or download too much stuff. Accumulate too many projects. Acknowledge what you can handle and what you can't. Everyday more and more competes for our attention. We have the opportunity to carve out BREATHING SPACE--FOCUS IN. Let go of the rest.

Sue did a dance class instead of this class.
Our last Happy Hour at the Hurley's cabin but too cold to go out on the balcony. Too bad we can't use it our last night. Balconies are nice to have on a cruise. Will always want one now. Ray, as usual, did a great job with drinks, but that's a long story. Tonight we had Kaluha and Milk.
We bought a couple bottles of wine at dinner for toasts and drinks to say goodbye to our Brazillian Ladies.
Listened to music in the Centrum and watched people dance. It's like a show. The couples are all "dancing class" trained.
We went to the Farewell Variety Showtime with the Royal Caribbean Singers and Dancers, The Emperors of Soul and Duo Artmotion. The finale included various crew members from around the ship. Many of our helpers were there. They made our cruise so enjoyable. Will miss them.
Packing time. All good things come to an end. Cruising is definitely our vacation of choice.
Tomorrow Venice, then Venice to Philadelphia, Philadelphia to New Orleans, all in one day. Home again, home again with the Rileys meeting us in NOLA.
FLASHBACK-Sue and Ray, Owen and Nancy waiting in Venice for connection to Philadelphia-Our trip almost over. Will be home tonight.
